The APO Impact program is an online officer training program which provides resources to help chapter officers, as well as members, perform their duties and service projects better. Alpha Phi Omega recognizes that its members are the best and most experienced contributors to this content and this program is designed to gives them the opportunity to communicate with and educate other members in a new and dynamic format.

The APO
LEADS program consists of five individual modular components
of leadership development. Each of these modular components focus
on skills that will help the participant be a successful leader and
team member in Alpha Phi Omega and in life. At the completion of
the series of courses, the participant will have a set of
transferable skills that are applicable to Alpha Phi Omega, to the
working world, as well as to leadership in other
organizations.

The Leadership Resources Clearinghouse is
a program sponsored by the National Leadership Development
Committee of Alpha Phi Omega that is intended to provide an archive
for workshop materials, specifically lecture notes, slides,
handouts, and other documents that can be used by members of Alpha
Phi Omega. Materials submitted to the Clearinghouse are released
more or less, "as is," (with some minor modifications made for
spelling and grammar).

The Alpha Phi Omega Membership Academy is a weekend long skills
training course designed to educate APO brothers in the basics of
chapter membership operations. Participants will receive hands-on
training from volunteer staff, network with brothers and alumni
from around the country, and leave the course with tangible skills,
ideas, information, and membership action plans that they can bring
back and use immediately in their home chapters.

Alpha Phi Omega has designated the first week of November as, "National Service Week," to unify Chapters with a national theme and to inspire expansion of chapter service programs. During this week, every chapter is encouraged to carry out a new, high profile service project related to the program of emphasis and involving other chapters and the community.

The National Volunteer Conference is the premier event in Alpha
Phi Omega where we, as volunteers, can come together for volunteer
training and to celebrate the Fraternity!
The supreme authority of Alpha Phi Omega is the National Convention, held in even-numbered years. The purpose of the National Convention is threefold: (1) To enact legislation for the development and expansion of the Fraternity; (2) To create fellowship, promote exchange of ideas for service projects, and discuss chapter operations among Brothers from across the nation; and (3) To develop the leadership ability of the Brothers in attendance, through service on committees and participation in seminars and workshops.

Alpha Phi Omega's Spring Youth Service Day (which can also be thought of as, "Spring Youth Service Weekend", or SYSD) is held annually during one weekend in April, in conjunction with the National program of our partner organization, Youth Service America. The last Spring Youth Service Day was on April 24-26, 2009. SYSD is Alpha Phi Omega's way of participating in the largest service event in the world.
